The Centre for Early Christian Studies is the only research and teaching centre to have been endorsed by the Senate of Australian Catholic University. With sixteen teaching and research staff, it comprises the largest centre for the study of the early Christian world within Australia. Our twelve international consultants contribute expertise in the fields of biblical studies, early church history, art history, early Christian language and literature. CECS staff and consultants undertake research and supervision in a wide range of topics within these areas from the period of the New Testament to the end of seventh century. In conjunction with St Pauls Press the Centre publishes the Early Christian Studies monograph series and its popular conference series, Prayer and Spirituality in the Early Church. Follow the links to find out more about the research interests of members of the Centre and its publications or try the associated activities menu to locate other activities associated with the Centre. |
